York Register Office Wedding - Kirsty & Ben
When Kirsty and Ben first got in touch with me about their York Register Office wedding, I couldn't have been more excited. A colourful embroidered wedding dress and a reception in Grays Court Hotel's fairy garden sounded like an absolute dream of a wedding.
On the day I met with Kirsty and her bridesmaids for a few last minute prep photos before heading off in a taxi to the ceremony at the register office. It was a super sweet ceremony - just a small handful of Kirsty and Ben's nearest and dearest were there for this intimate wedding. The skies opened as we made our way on foot through the cobble streets of York to Grays Court Hotel where we did some gorgeous photos in the garden before heading off for some cool portrait shots.
As Kirsty and Ben live in York, it was important for me to incorporate their love for the city and it's charm into their photos. The great thing about this pair is how wonderfully colourful and creative they are (both in dress sense and personality!) - they fitted right in with the quirky locations I'd hunted out before hand. It was so much fun getting to work with a laid back and lovely couple and I'm so chuffed with the photos that we created.
