The Mytton and Mermaid Wedding

Updated: May 2, 2020

I've known Mags since I was a little girl so it was really special for me to be the person to capture her wedding day. When we got chatting and learnt of all her plans for a pastel-themed vintage tea party wedding in the countryside, I could hardly wait! This was my first time working at The Mytton and Mermaid in Shropshire and my golly was it a beautiful venue. Anyone who knows anything about me will know that I am obsessed with old buildings, weathered brick walls, antique windows etc etc. This venue was like all my venue dreams rolled into one beautiful building. Not only did it have all those things, it was also right on the banks of the River Severn and surrounded by beautiful Shropshire Countryside. Needless to say, it was the perfect backdrop for some gorgeous wedding photographs.

On the day, Mags and Jon were just so full of laughter and love that it was impossible to take a bad photo of them! They were absolute naturals in front of the camera and despite the rainy weather in the afternoon this pair kept on smiling. It really was a beautiful day and it was clear how much time and thought had been put into every aspect of it. The highlight for me has to be the pastel pink vintage VW camper/ice cream van from Polly's Vintage Ice Cream Parlour. What a beauty!
